Justice Malala, Author of Let Them Eat Cake, Spares a Thought for World Leaders
Justice Malala, author of Let Them Eat Cake, wrote a column for the Financial Mail recently about the British prime minister, David Cameron, whose former spin doctor, Andy Coulson, was found guilty of hacking celebrities’ cellphones.
Malala went for lunch with TED Speaker and author of McMafia and DarkMarket, Misha Glenny, in sympathy with Cameron.
Read his article in which he takes a bite from the British scandal:
I was in the UK last week and watched with horror as British prime minister David Cameron received a pasting. First, his former spin-doctor Andy Coulson was found guilty of hacking celebrities’ cellphones. The opposition went for the jugular, with Labour leader Ed Miliband saying Cameron was the first ever British PM to “bring a criminal into the heart of Downing Street”. I agree with Miliband, but I am fully aware that he is a politician who wasn’t going to let such a juicy scandal pass without a memorable quote to go with it. That’s how politicians roll. Ask Julius Malema.
